Celebration fever is upon us with less than a week until the official grand opening of Home Central Kawana on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 November.

The centre is trading strongly as word spreads quickly amongst eager shoppers of the great range of retailers in one convenient location.  There are now over 20 stores trading with more set to open their doors in the coming months.

To make sure you can take advantage of all the fun at our grand opening celebrations, we’ve included a special run-down of the weekend’s activities. 

The centre opens its doors from 9am to 5pm Saturday and 10am to 4pm Sunday with a great entertainment and retailer workshop program.  All retailers are offering fantastic opening homemaker specials.

Retailers will present free how-to workshops  and demonstrations throughout the weekend.  There's great giveaways,  games, prizes to win and more!  

The first two winners in the $30,000 Home Central Kawana grand opening competition have been announced.

During the competition four winners will win $2500 with one lucky person winning $20,000 to spend on a huge Home Central Kawana shopping spree.

Skye Hopley from Maroochydore and Marie-Louise Schladetsch from Tinbeerwah are the first winners in the competition, each receiving a $2500 shopping spree.

The $30,000 promotion kicked off on Saturday, 21 October in the Sunshine Coast Daily.

A full page advertisement and competition token features in the Sunshine Coast Daily every day until Saturday 18 November.

Shoppers still have the chance to collect five Sunshine Coast Daily tokens to be eligible for the draws.  All entrants will go into the draw for the grand prize of a $20,000 shopping spree which will be drawn on Tuesday, 21 November.  Good luck!

Fantastic news for Home Central Kawana

The past week has been a flurry of activity for Home Central Kawana’s newest tenant, Fantastic Furniture.

More than 3,500 customers swept through the doors during its opening day last week and there’s no sign of the flood of excited customers abating just yet.

The store is a first for the Sunshine Coast and second for Queensland with another based at Morayfield.

Fantastic Furniture Group Managing Director, Julian Tertini, said the company’s decision to open their first store on the Sunshine Coast, was part of their plans for continued growth throughout Queensland.

“Our new store at Home Central Kawana is ideally situated in one of the fastest growing urban areas in Queensland,” he said.

“This means that we are well positioned to provide Sunshine Coast residents with a wide range of high quality, value for money furniture choices.”

1. What is your role at Home Central Kawana?
My role is to assist and support centre manager, Ainslee McCall, in all facets of centre management.  This involves developing policies, procedures and plans and forming good working relationships with all of our tenants.

2. What are your key responsibilities as assistant centre manager?
Ensuring the smooth operation of the centre management office forms a large part of my role and day-to-day activities.  Part of this is liaising with tenants, store owners and staff on all
business matters.
